WHAT I LIKE?
Pitch Perfect 3 is pretty much enjoyable on its own merits. If you are fan of the 2 other installments, you will loved this 3rd movie of the Bellas. What more can we expect with this Franchise that has truly raked millions ever since it hit theaters. Pitch Perfect 3 still delivers enough magic and charm from its talented casts and great choices of music. Story-wise, it is good to see a pick-up from the 2nd Film wherein the Bellas graduated from College and are facing their jobs. Of course, it became a little formulaic when they decided to join a competition via the USO Tour. Along the way, you will definitely love the sweet twist and turn adventures of the Bellas as they tour around the world enjoying what they truly love – singing together. I still loved all the girls. Expect the same charm and comedy specially when Fat Amy enters the picture. I would still consider Fat Amy as the best character and my favorite character in the whole trilogy franchise. Her comedic timing is impressive and I loved that the 3rd installment has a generous amount of the humor we loved from Rebel Wilson. On the other hand, Anna Kendrick never fails to lead the whole cast along with good supporting characters. Overall, the plot is full of dynamism and it did not bore me. For the choice of songs, the 3rd one is my favorite among the installments. Majority of the songs are familiar with general audience which is actually a good thing as compared to their 2nd movie. Regardless of flaws, Pitch Perfect 3 is a decent conclusion of this global hit that truly changed they we conceptualize “singing”.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE?
Generally, I feel like the whole Pitch Perfect 3 movie is a bit unnecessary specially when you talk about the conflict material. It felt that it was lacking and the twist were not much of an impact. Nevertheless, the film is pretty much enjoyable with a round of popcorn and soda.
