WHAT I LIKE?
Captain Marvel is the first ever movie in the Marvel Comics Universe that showcased a female superhero lead which is I think very iconic ad very empowering to say the least. As the Avengers; Infinity War positioned Captain Marvel’s role to be very important and vital especially on Avengers: End Game – the most anticipated superhero movie yet. The movie brings nostalgia as it brought us to the 90’s era and the early years of Nick Furry and SHIELD. What I like about the film is its consistency from its supernatural world down to the 90’s period. Since there are both worlds, the movie gave a good compromise in terms of Production Design & Plot design as a whole. Brie Larson was perfect for the role. Her charm and angst were such a solid reason to watch this. Overall, Captain Marvel is a fun-flick.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE?
In as much as I would like to adore Captain Marvel’s charm, but this movie is for me the most lackluster and lousiest movie in the MCU. Perhaps, the release date of the movie doesn’t add much anticipation for the upcoming Avengers; End Game. I guess they could have released Captain Marvel somewhere before Infinity War. Well, spare me the comparison but Wonder Woman is much more compelling and empowering. I find it a lazy move of MCU to introduce Captain Marvel at the height of everything. Narrative-wise, its a bit weak and off for me at some points. They have invested more on self-discovery and they veered away from going deeper to the special powers and the big role of Captain Marvel in the End Game. Also, the movie felt flat in terms of actions. Well, it is good but not as good as I expected it to be considering the movie will give hype for End Game.

WHAT I LIKE?
I love everything about the movie. Kong: Skull Island is definitely the best King Kong movie ever made in Hollywood. Its solid formula in terms of visuals, action scenes and cinematography were perfectly executed from beginning to end. The movie is mind-blowing and impressive. The movie has justified the classic origins of Kong and was able to pull-out amazing storytelling and production design fit for this mighty creature. The CGI-effects was superbly done. The visuals were stunning. Truly, a breakthrough in film editing. The thrilling scenes and creature action scenes were almost perfect too. I am just mesmerized on how precise the visuals and details are especially with Kong and the creatures. Overall, the movie was in fast-paced mood. The build of the plot is just perfect until the island scene. The island scene was the best moments of the movie. There were also some great moments of thrills and suspense that will keep you at the edge of your seats. The movie has good actors too. Expect some bloody deaths along the way. Worth-watching again. Kong: Skull Island will truly be one of the books.
What I don’t like?
The ending could have been a little better but this forgivable thing is just an inch on how awesome Kong: Skull Island is.

WHAT I LIKE?
The film is as bad-ass as the characters. xXx: Return of Xander Cage is an action-packed film worthy of a 3rd installment. I was really impressed with the movie. I commend the jaw-dropping, edge-of-the-seat and superbly done stunts and action sequences that will literally blow your mind from beginning to end. Its like a never-ending action movie that never fails to entertain you and won’t leave you bored even for just a single minute. The adrenaline-rush of the film is manifested well as it lived by the brand of action and thrills only the xXx Franchise could bring. Loved the twist and turns of the story line as well. If you are in for some pure action genre, this movie is definitely for you. Aside from its impressive action formula, the movie is shot well on some great locations. Well, we have the Philippines here too (but I doubt if it was really shot here). Also, the film’s strength is attributed to its dynamic and very talented casts. Its rare that I love all the characters in this film. Everyone was pretty dope too. Great to see a majority of Asian actors and actresses here on this franchise. Well, Vin Diesel is Vin Diesel. Its worth-watching and highly recommended as well.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE?
Well, it could have been slower but hey, its xXx!
